DR.
BROOKS NAMED
CATHOLIC WOMAN OF THE YEAR
by
The Catholic Daughters of America
In
July of this year, Dr. Brooks was named "Catholic Woman of the
Year" by the Catholic Daughters of America at their annual meeting in
Bismarck, ND. The Catholic Daughters of America are a national
organization that was founded in 1903 and is "dedicated to spiritual
life through Christ." Their motto is UNITY AND CHARITY. There are
"courts" in 42 states plus Mexico, Virgin Islands, Dominican
Republic, Guam and l plan. year the national organization chooses a woman
who is involved in charitable works and who has made a positive
contribution to helping folks in need.
Not
only was Dr. Brooks given a plaque and a donation of $10,000 to the
Tutwiler Clinic, but the local "courts" are encouraged to learn
about the ministry in Tutwiler and contribute what they can. We are happy
to say that other "courts" have sent donations of money,
clothes, and personal care items.
We
CONGRATULATE Dr. Brooks on this
award and thank the Catholic Daughters for recognizing not only her, but
the whole ministry of Tutwiler.
